The Pew Oceans Commission released its final report to Congress in June 2003. It conducted research on U.S. ocean policies, provided recommendations on how to restore and protect living marine resources, reported on coastal sprawl, marine pollution, marine aquaculture, and other topics. Excellent resource for those interested in policy issues.

Created by the International Union for Conservation of Nature and Natural Resources. Not limited to marine life, but a valuable resource for checking the official endangered or threatened status of a particular species. The site also has an excellent section of links to other online resources.

Dedicated to protecting and restoring coral reefs around the world. The Resource Library section of the website contains tourism guidelines, issue briefs, best practices, a coral reef directory, FAQ, and photobank, and an education library.
