In 2010, Hilary Lorenz and I purchased 2 acres of land and a stone and adobe casita in Abiquiu, New Mexico. Located at 6000' elevation along the Chama River in the high desert of northern NM and ringed by the Jemez and Sangre de Cristo Mountains, the landscape has inspired artists for centuries. Hilary and I are both printmakers, and this past summer we started construction of a printmaking studio, to be called Stonetrigger Press, on the property. In addition to doing my own work there, we will be able to hold classes, participate in the annual Abiquiu studio tour, and invite other printmakers to visit and work. It will be a great addition to the local art community, and you can help by buying a print! We still need to raise a bunch of money to complete construction, outfit the studio, and ship two etching presses from NY to NM.
